There are two types of heroes: basic heroes and heroes that you collect from shards.
Heroes that you collected from shards will not return. Basic heroes should return after the Dark Ritual.
At most 3 heroes will return at a time. If you sacrificed Abe and he didn’t return, it means he will return during one of the next Dark Rituals.
